But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.”
Your children are important to you and to Jesus and to us! So we put a lot of prayer and effort into our children’s ministry. We want to partner with you to help introduce your children to the Savior and help them grow in their faith and have some FUN along the way!
Children's Ministry During COVID
Sherry Gruszkowski, Director
(4th - 5th)
Jamie Cornell, Director
What Does This Look Like?
During the worship service we will have the "Family 5". It is a fun, 5 minute video just for the kids. Each child will receive a package that goes with the Family 5 video with sermon notes, coloring sheets and more.
After the Family 5 and right before the sermon, children from birth-3rd grade will be taken upstairs to the Chapel. Younger children will watch a video and play. The older children will work on their lesson from the New City Catechism.
Children 4th grade and above will remain in the service.
Gallup Juniors is for Children in grades 4 and 5. They will remain in the worship service on Sundays, and will meet on Sunday afternoons from 3:30-5:00 in the church gym to go through the New City Catechism question of the week and have fun!
Requirements for all Children's Ministry Volunteers
We value you and your children so we have created a process to join the Gallup Hill Kids Team. All team members are carefully screened and supervised.
All interested applicants will have an extensive criminal history background check through "Protect My Ministry".
Each applicant must provide 2 personal references who can affirm the applicant's ability to serve in children's ministry.
All who serve in the Children's ministry are required to read through our Policies and Procedures manual. Periodic trainings are offered throughout the year.
We have a strict "Never Alone" policy. Children's ministry team members will adhere to the two team member policy at all times. One team member should never be alone with a child.
