Children & Youth
Our children are important to us and we believe that we need to disciple them and love them. We want them to know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and to help them grow and build a strong foundation that will follow them for the rest of their life.
| "Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old he will not turn from it." |
| - Proverbs 22:6 |
|
We know how important children are to Jesus and what greater joy than to bring His children to Him. He tells his disciples how He feels about His children...
| "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these." |
| - Mark 10:14 |
|
To help the children get to know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, we offer a variety of ministry opportunities for the parents and their children. They are our top priority. They deserve the best care, a safe and secure environment and a solid foundation to build upon for the rest of their lives.

Gallup Groups are home Bible studies that are designed to draw people closer to and cause growth in Christ. It is a tool used to equip belivers through the study of His Word, prayer and fellowship in a much more personal setting than can be achieved on Sunday morning during normal worship time. Home Bible studies are not new, small groups of believers began meeting in homes in Acts. We see in Matthew 18:20, "For where two or three have gathered in My Name, there I am in their midst."
In the enviornment of a home with a small group of people, the foundation for a solid Christian walk can be laid. The young believers can ask questions, the mature believer can be challanged and the quiet, more reserved believers can be made to feel more comfortable. This personal interaction, so vital to the Christian walk, cannot be obtained in large settings.
Jesus manifests Himself in the personal relationship. We have heard it said that Christianity is a relationship, not a religion. In today's world, the personal relationship is under attack. It began with the relationship between God and man, continued with man and wife(which has destroyed the family) and now with the advent of information technology we are seeing even the breakdown of the common acquaintance. With the erosion of relationships at every level it's inevitable that our relationship with Jesus Christ will suffer even more as well.
Our answer to this relational deterioration is the Gallup Group ministry. Through solid personal relationships, we will be able to strengthen, maintain and in some cases begin relationships with the Lord, thereby promoting Christian growth. It is the desire of Gallup Hill for all church members to be involved in the Gallup Group ministry. Through this ministry it is our belief that our church members will be equipped for whatever the Lord has intended Gallup Hill Baptist to do.
