Church Staff

Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that it is our responsibility to equip the church for the work of ministry in Ledyard and the surrounding communities.  We desire to see our church and community transformed by God's magnificent grace.

 Kyle Dykes, Pastor

I was born and raised in a small town - much like Ledyard - in Alabama.  I submitted my life to Christ at a young age and enjoyed the benefits of being raised in a Christian home.  I attended Auburn University, in Alabama, and graduated in 2000 with my Masters degree in Accounting and then moved to Atlanta, GA, where I was a practicing CPA with Ernst & Young for 10 years.  While at Auburn I met my wife Marcia and we were married shortly after we both graduated.  We now have four beautiful daughters, Maggie (9), McKenzie (7), Hadley (1) and Hayden (1).

After spending a decade in the professional world, I felt God's call into vocational ministry and in 2010 my family and I relocated to Birmingham, AL, where I attended Beeson Divinity School at Samford University.  I graduated in December 2013 with my Master of Divinity degree.  During my time at Beeson I visited Connecticut and found Gallup Hill Baptist Church.  In December 2013, I accepted the call to be the pastor here and my family and I moved to Ledyard in January of 2014.

I have a passion for the church and love seeing lives transformed by the gospel of Jesus Christ.  Watching God breathe new life into one of his children is an incredible thing to behold.  I also have a passion for discipleship.  Our Lord, Jesus Christ, gathered a small group of men and spent three years training them.  When he unleashed them, they started a process of multiplying disciples that reshaped the world.  As a church, I earnestly desire Gallup Hill to be a discipling church where mature believers spend time meeting with, praying for, and training new believers and reach out to the lost through evangelism.  I also have a passion for community service.  A local church should be a blessing to all in its community - even those that are indifferent or even hostile to it.  If Gallup Hill were to close its doors 25 years from now, I would hope that the community would mourn its passing.

If you are thinking about joining us one Sunday, please do.  I hope to meet you soon!

Andrea Landry, Worship Director & Secretary

I was born and raised in Florence, SC and grew up in Calvary Baptist Church, where I was baptized at the age of seven. I am from a musical family and have always been involved in church music, starting in children's choir at age five and in the handbell group at age eight.

In middle school I began playing oboe and in high school added various percussion instruments as well as the bass guitar. I had the great honor to be the Drum Major for my high school band during my senior year. During my high school years, I also traveled on several church mission tours, sharing the gospel through music and Vacation Bible Schools in Mississippi, Key West, and even in Taiwan!

While in college I had the opportunity to travel to Italy to perform and also marched with the University of Georgia Redcoat Band. I am a 2011 graduate of the College of Charleston with a BA in Music. While living in Charleston I met my husband and we were married in March of 2012. He is a Radiation Health Officer in the Navy and after a tour in Charleston we were stationed here in January 2013. We have one fun little boy, Luke (1) and our adopted furbaby Brinkley.
