James Anderson, Elder

A native of Louisiana, I was born in Alexandria and grew up in Shreveport. I was a Navigation Electronics Technician on board submarines for 26 years, serving in Charleston SC and Kings Bay GA before coming to Groton, CT in 1991. Retiring from the Navy in 2007, I went to work for Videojet Technologies installing and maintaining high speed coders and label machines used in the food service industry. My wife of 32 years is Kristi and we have been members of Gallup Hill since 1991. Our oldest daughter Jamie, her husband Darren, and their sons Elijah and Gabriel are members of Gallup Hill as are our youngest daughter Kristin and her husband Aaron.

I am currently serving as a Deacon and  Community Group leader.  I enjoy leading our Community Group in discussions that help to edify and strengthen men and women in applying Christ like principles in our relationships at work, at home, and at church.
